After doing the Whole30 and seeing such an incredible difference in how I feel, I fell in love with it. I’ve done several over the past few years and now am ready to share my tips with the world! Especially during my first few rounds, I tried a lot of different products. Now I have my own “must have” list that I refer to before I start a round.
MCT Oil
First, I love bulletproof coffee. Whole30 or not I drink it just about everyday! A lot of people do this for breakfast. ecause it’s high in fat, it keeps you full for a while. I do this for breakfast daily, but I also think that the Whole30 is very much about feeding your body good whole foods that are nutrient rich, so I suggest having a small healthy breakfast to go along with it to start your day. If you have never had bulletproof coffee, it is MCT oil, butter (ghee when Whole30), blend. Voila! It’s life changing. The energy boost is very much REAL and noticeable for me and as a mom, I LOVE it! I purchase Brain Octane Oil on amazon. If you’re interested click the link here to purchase. (I am not an affiliate I just genuinely love bulletproof coffee + Amazon Prime!)

Ghee
Okay so I mentioned ghee. Some of you may know what this is but I actually never tried it until my very first round and IT BLEW ME AWAY Y’ALL. I have never met anyone who has had it on a round of whole30 that was not also blown away and in love with it. Ghee is clarified butter, which basically means that the milk solids are removed from it. It tastes like the purest of pure butter and I never thought that would be something that would excite me this much, but it is absolutely worthy of being on this list. It’s great for cooking with or just slappin’ on a potato with some meat and veggies. YUM.
Mayo
Okay, this may not be true for everyone, but I personally love mayo. And condiments and sauces are important always. All the time. Round or no round. I got my mayo recipe from the Whole30 book. You really can taste the fresh homemade difference. Here is a quick link to the recipe that I use: https://cassidyscraveablecreations.com/2015/11/easy-homemade-mayonnaise-paleo-whole30.html
Alternatively, Trader Joes has a huge jar of mayo that is compliant and keeps you from having to make anything extra. I mainly put mayo on my bun-less burgers. I do burger, mayo, tomato, avocado and of course wrap in lettuce. BOMBBBB. The Trader Joe’s brand looks like this:

Kombucha
While I personally love water, even I sometimes need a little something to change things up. For this I look to kombucha. It is a bit on the pricier side for an everyday drink, but for me the health benefits trump the price PLUS the taste is great. Here (in a nutshell) is why you should be drinking kombucha:

I definitely reccomend starting with just one and seeing how you like it. Don’t load up til you know you love ’em. Even though im pretty sure you will!
Not all brands are Whole30 compliant, so I stick with GT’s kombucha. My favorite flavors are ginger berry, cosmic cranberry and guava goddess. I pick them up at the same grocery store I go to for most of our groceries (Sprouts.) This is what they look like:

Lara Bars
These are not for everyday, but I love them for an emergency snack. When I feel like I’m so hungry that I could quit and go to Texas Road House. This is my saving grace during those times. I keep these in my pantry all the time honestly. I love having them on hand if I forget to eat lunch and have to head to work. They’re great for holding you over til you can get a good healthy meal in! I get hangry if I wait too long to eat so this satisfies that part of me for a few minutes. Also, not all of these are whole30 approved so as usual, check the ingredients!
I hope this post helped you! Lmk in the comments if you have any questions or just want to chat Whole30 with me!
Xoxo,
