My 3 little ones and I took a trip to a local apple orchard called Apple Annie’s. It was actually a home school field trip and the staff there taught the kids all about the apples, about organic pesticides and the different obstacles that an orchard faces and how they combat them! We all sat through the presentation and then afterwards they explained which types of apples they had on the orchard. We were then wheeled off on a trailer hooked to a tractor that took us right on over to the trees we would be picking from. The kids all had so much fun!
It was the cutest little spot with an adorable country bakery that carries an assortment of fudge, farm cookbooks, jar goods and and gift baskets! The gift shop was pretty darn cute as well. I highly recommend looking into your nearest apple orchard. Apple picking was a fun experience and such great memories were made with my little ones.
